The spookiest time of the year is dawning on society and, in a quieter nook – a usually raucous nook – the bitizens of Smosh’s Bit City are shadowed by a different haunt: the ghost of Bit City’s end.

The beloved internet televesion series began in 2024 as a parody of modern talk show programs, hosted by the one and only pair: Angela Giarratana and Chanse McCrary. Season 2 saw McCrary’s stepdown as a co-host, transferring the show entirely to Giarratana’s hands. The show has seen much success as audiences laugh with Angela as she attempts to babysit every wild character that comes across that Bit City couch.

Season 3 continued as normal in 2025, without any hitch, but Season 4 had a bit of a rocky start after Smosh’s entire company completed its move between studios, officially, in early this year, 2026. Ever since then, the channel experimented with a new segment, Wheel You Be Mine, but promised to return to normal programming after the show’s season finale.

However, broken programming continued around three sporadic uploads of music videos that replaced Bit City programming each time: first in June with “Promline”, then in September with “Don’t Let This Summer Stop”, and finally, very soon after, in October with Fred Darts’ “Bring ‘Em Back (We Want Dinos)”. After this upload, programming ceased entirely on Smosh’s main channel, the home of Bit City.

The very last normal Bit City episode was uploaded on September 18th, 2026; well over a month ago.

What is the future of Bit City? Does it live on? Or does it die in the month of Dia de los Muertos? That would be the spookiest fright of them all this hallows eve.

Next up: Angela’s podcast, AOA, welcomes TWO big-time celebrity guests?!

Stay tuned for more!
