Long-known for her composure of steel during “Try Not To Laugh” (TNTL) duels, Angela Giarratana puts up no fight to stay in the stool during the most recent challenge. Does she just love her friends, or is the queen of comedy stepping down as Queen of the Stool?

On March 31st of 2026 @ 1:00pm EST, the newest TNTL duel episode (a.k.a. King of the Stool) came out on Smosh Pit’s YouTube. At first glance of the cast, teased yesterday, fans easily recognized that Angela was in the lineup and awaited the episode drop with anticipation. Today, those fans flocked to the premiere to watch their comedy queen take home the prize, after competitor Chanse McCrary stole her rightful win last year (controversy, here).
However, what fans immediately noticed by the end of the second round? Giarratana wasn’t putting up a fight at all to protect her crown. She was the second one off the stool and, throughout the challenge, broke first a total of five-out-of-ten (5/10) times. That’s a pretty high break rate, given her generally unbreakable demeanor.
Could it also simply be that main competitors, Chanse McCrary and Amanda Lehan-Canto weren’t there to draw from her the zealous passion to defeat the competition?
Even though Giarratana’s will of steel may not have been behind the wheel in today’s competition, being the absolutely talented comedian she is, she was able to reclaim the stool at each of her turns, afterall, she is the Queen of Comedy. She may not have ended up in the seat at the end, with the crown, as Queen of the Stool, but she’s still the legendary and uber talented icon we know and love.
In our hearts, Ang, you’re still the unbeatable and unbreakable; we know you just love your friends and it makes you happy to support their talent. (We think they’re talented, too.)
Watch Angela get her biggest laugh with bit, “Shimmy Girl” below, as well as her own biggest spittake at bit, “My Brother, Bobby.”
