Famed internet celebrity, Angela Giarratana, sets up a YouTube channel for the first time in 10 years (encouraged by Morgan Absher of Two Hot Takes podcast) and was met with an initial rush of 30,000 subscribers right off the bat.

But now, she’s been challenged by Havin’ A Day podcast host, Patrick MacDonald to reach 100,000 subscribers… without posting a single video. No shorts, either! “As long as somebody goes to Angela Giarratana’s YouTube channel, it says ‘no videos’, and they follow, then it’s good!” He says.

Giarratana initially worried about the incentive, wondering if it sounded too flaunty, since MacDonald’s purpose for the goal was for her first video to be with her 100K Subs YouTube plaque. He just said, “No, I think it rocks… if we’re owning it.”

Although she was excited to start sharing content with her fanbase, Angela accepted the challenge. “Can I say it on my Instagram?” She asked, to which MacDonald replied, “You can say it everywhere but YouTube.”

“This is good! No shorts, either?”

“No shorts! There can’t be anything on there” (**)

The goal was first mentioned during an episode of Patrick’s aforementioned podcast which aired on March 9th, 2026.

The awesome thing? She’s already gained 17,000 subscribers since the challenge was officially publicly initiated on the podcast episode‘s air date (just less than 4 days ago) and it’s still climbing rapidly. Plus, she’s less than 10K subs from being half-way there!!!! RAD, bro! ✨👏🏻
