Music legend, Fanoli, an 80-year-old Las Vegas based still-performer, gets on Very Important People to get deep about life, family, and fears with host Vic Michaelis.
The famed 60’s singer, who continued to drop top-charting songs through the 1980’s, spoke with starstruck Michaelis who continued to be inspired by his music throughout her life.
Even though the pair hit a snag when his old fling, Cher, was mentioned, they ended up sharing encouragement and life advice with each other throughout the 30-minute episode, including Michaelis sitting with the star and comforting him when he admitted he was overwhelmed by performing and preferred to stop being booked.
“I’m tired… I miss naps.”

Giving him a platform to formally announce a retirement, Michaelis tried to encourage him to finally get his rest. But Fanoli rediscovered who he is and realized he couldn’t do it. Who Fanoli is is a singer; a performer; a musically inclined legend who’s made history with his music (and a few lions).
During the speed-question round, he told the channel that he still keeps his late dog’s chew toy, which he considers to be his pet now. “It was my pet’s pet.” He said.
And when Michaelis discovered it was on his bucket list to attend a wine tasting, she had the crew bring out a bottle and popped it open on stage. After a sip, they agreed on how terrible it was.

A somewhat emotional realization struck the star when he was asked what the meaning of life was and Michaelis comedically presented money as her answer. Countering with, “I’ll tell you something about money. As someone who has a lot of it – maybe I’ve just been divorced five times, and had every hit record, and been to every major city and stayed in every presidential suite – I don’t think it’s money.” he began singing on the fly and created “I Don’t Like Money” as the show’s new theme song; a request he had gotten from Michaelis.
The episode closes with a kick line dance led by Fanoli as he gets host Michaelis along with his assistants to perform the song with him, before he requests to be carried off stage, finalizing the end of the episode.

That’s all for now!
Take care,
Roma, TS
