Hey guys!

Remember back in May of 2024 when I set off on the venture to start a Comedy magazine? And how that magazine was literally the whole point of TomatoSmosh, before TS became just an edit tank on Insta?

Yeah, about that…

Very shortly after I started the magazine, I uprooted my life and moved to a different state, went back to Uni after a 10-year hiatus, started a company, and now I’m simply booked and exhausted most of the time.

HOWEVER,

I don’t want to simply forget about the mag forever, because I still think about it often and I miss writing it. Even though I only ever published the first issue of the first volume …🥲

BUT,

before I can ever get back to the mag, I have a lil ~project~ that will be coming out first.

A short film.

This week is the first week I’m able to talk at all about this film (and after Wednesday, I can share the title with you). After that, we’ll have BTS rolling out, teasers, posters, all that cool stuff. And maybe a fundraiser.

So stay tuned!

All that to say, I do want to get back to writing the magazine at some point, but it may not be for a while. Sort of…

What might be cool instead, and what might make it far more possible to produce the magazine while I’m busy, would be to momentarily change the magazine format and open it to entirely being submissions from y’all.

Writing and art submissions.

Sketch ideas, short stories, jokes, artwork, fake ad campaigns (plz don’t submit someone else’s real ads), fake review blocks of fake restaurants, etc.
(If you wish to advertise any of your own real entrepreneurial things, we can talk, but these will be different than normal submissions.)

Please keep in mind TomatoSmosh’s mantra and know that everything will still go through an approval process, so keep it clean and kind 🙂

I want to offer something cool for accepted submissions, like $2-5 per accepted, published submission, depending on the length of the content, etc.

If I do that, I would be putting the magazine up for legitimate sale, though, bc I can’t pay like 35 people per magazine and then not make that money back without going broke, LOL.

Even if she doesn’t reply, she reads most of her DMs and loves kind words of encouragement or hearing the ways she has helped you through a struggle.
And remember that frequent white space (blank lines) between short paragraphs makes it easier to read.
